I've been strength training three times a week for almost four years. The core strength that I have developed in three months of Pilates far exceeds anything I was able to accomplish with a rigorous resistance program. In addition to that, the year-long nagging ache in my shoulder which was a muscle or a tendon problem, has virtually disappeared. So I am getting results with so much less wear and tear on my body.
